This fusion creates a sound that is both modern and deeply spiritual, appealing to listeners who seek faith-based music with a contemporary edge.

Electronic Foundations

• ARG borrows heavily from EDM aesthetics—synth pads, layered textures, and digital effects—but avoids the high-energy drops and club rhythms typical of mainstream EDM.

• Instead of driving beats, ARG opts for slow to mid-tempo rhythms (60–100 BPM), creating a soothing, immersive atmosphere.

• The electronic elements serve a functional purpose: to evoke transcendence and serenity, aligning with the group’s meditative and worshipful intent.

Gospel Influence

• At its core, ARG remains faith-driven, echoing gospel traditions through scripture-inspired lyrics, angelic imagery, and uplifting messages of hope and light.

Importantly, we recognise this is an internal struggle. Each of us carries some darkness within, whether in Sony Music or Angel River Records. We must wrestle that darkness out of ourselves and cast it into the abyss to keep the light alive.

1. Understanding “Satanic Powers”

• Scripture identifies satanic powers as spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), not human beings.

• These powers operate through deception, oppression, and systems of sin—not merely through individuals.

• Therefore, the ethical question is: How do Christians oppose evil without violating Christ’s commands of love and peace?

• Ethically, it is wrong to equate human opponents with satanic powers.

• People are image-bearers of God—even if under spiritual deception.

• The true enemy is Satan and his schemes, not flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12).

• Pray for liberation: Intercede for those under spiritual bondage.

• Stand against systems of evil: Speak truth, advocate justice, but avoid hatred.

• Maintain humility: Recognise that victory belongs to Christ, not human force.

Founded in Sydney in 2012 by Peter Flood, Angel River Group (ARG) is a charity and music collective dedicated to creating restorative, spirit-led music and transformational spiritual services.
